Cypress wood is basically used in our territory for the manufacture of boats in the south and south austral, being highly qualified for its excellent resistance to humidity. Also applies in general carpentry. It is also used for the construction of some musical instruments such as guitar boxes because its gives a pleasant resonance of certain notes. It is a wood of characteristic smell, however presents a significant amount of naturalities as firm and loose knots, applied in uses when the appearance that is required is not determinately smooth.
